Just a week ago all of Los Angeles was in a frenzy as the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, and a few other fires broke out in the greater Los Angeles areas. Thousands of people lost their homes, businesses were destroyed, and livelihoods have been forever changed as a result of this tragedy. LA Fire Donation Center was quickly formed as a response to these Los Angeles wildfires. We wanted to help our fellow Angelenos by acting primarily as a donation center but also as a resource for the quickly evolving events that have unfolded in the days following the start of the fire. We made the call to action for our community to assist us in helping to provide support and we have been overwhelmed with the swift response.

In just the span of one week at our donation center in Hermosa Beach we have filled a total of THREE truckloads of supplies for victims of the wildfires. The support continues to pour in and it reminds us of just how much we each care for one another in Los Angeles. In a time of dire needs we are grateful to play a small part in providing aid; and we look forward to continuing to provide support where needed in the coming future as we transition to rebuilding efforts. We want to thank the generosity of Ashley’s Furniture and JunkLuggers for helping to provide us with trucks and transportation to the Altadena Community Center, N.O.A.H.’s Los Angeles, and PATH Los Angeles, all righteous organizations that organized quickly to assist in providing much needed items to victims.

We are still taking donations at 440 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254. While we appreciate clothing we kindly ask that you do not bring clothes as it seems most organizations are at capacity for clothing. We ask that you please bring items such as toiletries, towels & washcloths, baby wipes & body wipes, bedding & pillows, and non perishable food items. Please review the needs and wants from other organizations on any day you plan to drop off supplies, most places are requesting the same type of items on a day to day and weekly basis.

Moving forward be sure to Register with us to stay up to date with the latest information, resources, and community outreach events in the future. We will provide updates to the community on valuable information related to next best steps for those impacted by the fires as well as calls to action for our community to provide help where needed. The coming months and years ahead are going to be challenging but we know we will get through the adversity together and show the world Los Angeles will REBUILD better than ever!
